Working with a couple on their wedding is what we love to do...especially when the bride is the daughter of one of our own Flower Ninjas. We had the pleasure of doing the flowers & decor at the Omni Royal for Holly's wedding, daughter of one of our floral designers, Debbie.

“The flowers were always going to be a focus in my wedding since I come from a family of florists,” Holly says. “I left a lot of this planning to my mother and the amazing team at Nola Flora. I gave them some vague ideas of what I wanted, and they created floral masterpieces.”

Holly had a beautiful vision for her wedding, and asked us to execute some fun, custom elements (along with her top notch wedding planner, Emily Sullivan). From the floral arbor that provided a dramatic, beautiful backdrop to their ceremony, to the floral bridge and over-the-top floral cake table....we got to design some pretty amazing features. Here are some of our favorites....

Holly carried a hand-tied bouquet of white hydrangea with Alabaster garden roses, white Freesia, white Clooney ranunculus, and slight accents of greenery.

Holly's bridesmaids carried hand-tied bouquets of green hydrangea, soft blush pink Kiera garden roses, blush centered-white O’Hare garden roses, white freesia, blush Clooney ranunculus, white ranunculus, white scabiosa, accents of pink toned succulents and seeded eucalyptus foliage.

The couple brought their elegant wedding to life with a palette of ivory and blush along with glitzy metallics. “I love rose gold, and my ring is rose gold, so a lot of the colors were centered on that,” Holly says.

Because of rain, the ceremony was moved indoors from the courtyard. “Our florist really stepped up to transform the simple room into a beautiful ceremony space,” Holly says of their rain plan.

The four-tiered white wedding cake, covered in cascading flowers, could be seen as guests walked into the room. The cake sat on a table covered in a bed of white hydrangea, roses, garden roses, spray roses, accents of greenery, and a few French Tulips spraying downward. Behind the cake was a full floral bridge adorned with similar florals and hanging candle bubbles with tea lights in them.

A New Orleans snoball stand, Plum Street Snoballs, was also there to provide guests with a special local treat. Behind the snoball stand was another impressive floral display. A wall stretching the length of the snoball stand was covered in white hydrangea with 3 large silver snowball holders; and large snowballs of hot pink, medium pink and light pink dianthus.

The French doors of the ballroom were adorned with floral wreaths covered with white hydrangea, accents of the white, ivory and blush roses, and matching spray roses with touches of greenery.
